Type II Diabetes Medications

Type II Diabetes Medications

Type II diabetic medications are in abundance and can be found in many different types and kinds as well as styles. There are type II diabetic medications that can be found in prescription form or there is medication that can be found naturally and at modern day health food stores.

Some of the most common type II diabetic medications are Glucophage which can be used before a person has full blown diabetes in order to get their weight down and blood sugar levels as a precautionary measure or during their diagnosis of diabetes in order to help keep their blood sugar levels down.

Novolog and Humalog are two widely known and used diabetic medications because they come in insulin form which means that they are normally injected through a syringe or needle as needed. Many times with a diabetic they will need to monitor their blood sugar levels and amounts several times throughout the day such as first thing in the morning before they eat, around lunchtime and then again at supper or bedtime, during this time if their blood glucose levels are too high or too low they may need to inject themselves with amounts of novolog or humalog in order to control that number or reading.

The Normal Fasting Glucose Level

normal fasting glucose level

normal fasting glucose level

Not long ago, a normal fasting glucose level was never a chief concern for very many people, as the main health worries of the day were heart disease, cancer, and high blood pressure.

Sure there have always been diabetics, but in recent times the number of people diagnosed with diabetes has skyrocketed, even as the number of people diagnosed with heart disease, hypertension, and many forms of cancer have begun to decrease. If the current trend continues, diabetes and diabetes related issues may well become the most important health care concerns of the new millennia. This means that for a growing number of people, having a normal fasting glucose level is more important than ever.

The symptoms to watch for in cases where diabetes may be developing include increased thirst, increased hunger, increased urination, increased fatigue, blurred vision, and lightheadedness. If a person is experiencing two or more of these symptoms it may be time to schedule a test with their physician to determine if they are maintaining a normal fasting glucose level. This is especially true if there is anyone else in their family that has diabetes.

Diabetes Mellitus and Tuberculosis: The Science of Denial by Dr. Lawrence Broxmeyer

Diabetes Mellitus and Tuberculosis

Summary The thought that tuberculosis and its family of mycobacteria could cause diabetes seems farfetched, but is not.

If this weren’t true, then why would the Massachusetts General Hospital recently announce human trials with dilute cow tuberculosis (BCG) to attempt cure of type 1 juvenile diabetes, a disease historically thought by some to be caused by human tuberculosis. In nature, strains of tuberculosis, animal or human, have long been known to compete, change and destroy one another. And they do this through attack with their viral mycobacteriophage armament, which live inside all strains of tuberculosis. So injecting BCG into diabetic patients has nothing to do with “bolstering their immunity”, a favored explanation among trial investigators. It has to do rather with hand-to-hand viral phage (mycobacteriophage) combat between the dilute cow tuberculosis being injected and a prime suspect for the cause of the disease itself, human tuberculosis.

The peculiar relationship and frequent association of diabetes mellitus and tuberculosis has been observed for more than 2000 years, yet the reason for this is, to this day, not known. Before the discovery of insulin, a diagnosis of diabetes was a death sentence within 5 years, and the usual cause of that death was tuberculosis.
