What are borderline diabetes symptoms? Borderline diabetes also known as pre-diabetes is the beginning of a very serious and life changing condition. This condition is called diabetes, and it is taking over the nation and the world.

Diabetes is a severe condition in where the organ that is most commonly referred to as the pancreas is not working correctly or efficiently as it should be. The organ known as the pancreas is responsible for the production of many things including bile (stomach acid), insulin, and other very important hormones and chemicals. However, diabetes is a condition where the pancreas organ is not producing enough or any at all, of the chemical/hormone called insulin. This chemical/hormone is responsible for many different reactions that happen in the body.

However, the insulin’s main responsibility is in your body’s cell energy consumption. It must bind with the sugar molecules in the blood stream, also known as glucose molecules in the blood stream, before the cells are able to take it in and use it, so if there isn’t enough hormone levels of insulin the sugar is not used and begins to build up. At a certain sugar/blood glucose level around 140 mg/dl the body begins to suffer some permanent damage to some main organ systems and other things.

One of the newest ideas to come down the pipes in diabetes treatment is the use of vanadium and other trace minerals in the treatment of diabetes because in higher doses these minerals can mimic the effects of insulin and lead to a lowering of serum glucose levels.

It has been proven that vanadium for diabetes treatment does, in fact work. Vanadium and other trace minerals like molybdenum and tungsten can mimic insulin, but the effects are no instantaneous and take time to occur as the levels of the minerals build in the body. For those who are seeking a cure or treatment for diabetes that doesn’t involve doctors and pharmacists this may seem like a godsend and an opportunity to get away from insulin and drug based treatment regimens just by taking a few mineral supplements each day.

How to test for diabetes

how to test for diabetes

Knowing how to test for diabetes is extremely important. Diabetes is a disease that has taken America by storm. The large amounts of sweets in today’s world have a large effect on this (plus the defective diabetes gene being passed on). Diabetes changes lives for better and for worse and is a complicated life to live.

Diabetes is where the organ known as the pancreas stops or slows in the production of a chemical known as insulin. Insulin is responsible for all of your energy as it converts the glucose in the blood into fuel that the body cells are capable of using. So when the insulin levels are low the glucose is high and this can cause a severe amount of damage. The damage that can be done include heart damage, kidney damage, nerve damage, blindness. So knowing how to test for diabetes and knowing whether you have it is vitally important. So do I have diabetes?

Non Invasive Glucose Monitor

Non Invasive Glucose Monitor

Not long ago, the idea of a non invasive glucose monitor was just a pipe dream of endocrinologists, physicians and diabetics everywhere. It seemed as if such a thing was not only impossible in the laboratory, but would surely never be available for at home personal use by the patient.

It seemed impossible, after all that it could be at all possible for the level of glucose in the bloodstream to be checked without first breaking the skin, and invasive procedure, in order to obtain a blood sample for checking. Modern technology has now proven that a non invasive glucose monitor is not only possible, but a few such devices are already on the market for consumer use.

One such device is the glucowatch. Worn like a wristwatch, the glucowatch administers a small painless electric shock at around 20 minute intervals. This shock draws a small sample of interstitial fluid which is then read by the machine in order to determine the glucose level in the blood. Though this device represents one type of FDA approved non invasive glucose monitor it must still be used in conjunction with traditional blood sample glucose monitors as part of a comprehensive treatment regimen.

What are the borderline diabetes symptoms?

borderline diabetes symptoms

Do you know what the symptoms are for borderline diabetes symptoms? Diabetes is high blood glucose, or blood sugar as it is commonly called. This is because of the body’s failure to produce the correct amounts of insulin, which is a chemical used to convert the glucose (sugar) into fuel. When insulin levels are down, glucose levels are up and this can cause serious damage.

Diabetes, and even borderline diabetes problems are kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, and nerve damage. All of which cause a painful life in the end. So how do you detect diabetes or pre-diabetes and stop or reverse it?

People with pre-diabetes have higher than average blood sugars levels but are not at high enough levels to be diagnosed with diabetes. Still the high amounts can still cause damage. Pre-diabetes gives you a large chance of developing borderline type 2 diabetes. This makes you highly susceptible to strokes and heart disease.
