Diabetic food choices
Diabetics often times think that being a diabetic means that they don’t get to eat good food but that is far from the truth because diabetic food choices can be the same as anyone can eat, me or you. Good food for diabetes comes in a wide variety such as cookies, crackers, snacks, fudge and many other foods as well.
Eating high fiber foods is highly recommended to control diabetes. Good sources of soluble fiber such as oats, soy beans, peas, wheat and other whole grains have the added benefit of lowering LDL, or bad, cholesterol levels.
Some foods that are high in fiber can also do double duty as a good source of protein. Legumes like beans, peas and sprouts can be both a great source of fiber and protein. You can also snack on nuts such as peanuts, sunflower kernels, almonds and pistachios for good sources of healthy protein. Try to stick to the unsalted versions of these nuts however, so that you don’t ingest the extra sodium.

Type II diabetic medications
Type II diabetic medications are in abundance and can be found in many different types and kinds as well as styles. There are type II diabetic medications that can be found in prescription form or there is medication that can be found naturally and at modern day health food stores.
Some of the most common type II diabetic medications are Glucophage which can be used before a person has full blown diabetes in order to get their weight down and blood sugar levels as a precautionary measure or during their diagnosis of diabetes in order to help keep their blood sugar levels down.
Novolog and Humalog are two widely known and used diabetic medications because they come in insulin form which means that they are normally injected through a syringe or needle as needed. Many times with a diabetic they will need to monitor their blood sugar levels and amounts several times throughout the day such as first thing in the morning before they eat, around lunchtime and then again at supper or bedtime, during this time if their blood glucose levels are too high or too low they may need to inject themselves with amounts of novolog or humalog in order to control that number or reading.

1200 calorie diabetic plan
What is a good 1200 calorie diabetic plan? For diabetics a good diet means everything to them. If they eat wrong types of food their blood sugar explodes. If they eat too little food they can suffer hypoglycemia. So the right diabetic diet is everything.
Diabetes is a condition where the body produces too little of a chemical called insulin. (The pancreas organ is responsible) They chemical called insulin is responsible for changing the blood sugar in your blood into fuel that the body can use.
When too little of the insulin is in the blood the blood glucose levels begin to rise. Once they reach a certain high level they begin to cause severe damage to some of the body’s main components. The common damage that is done includes heart damage, nerve damage, kidney damage, and eye damage. This makes doing a 1200 calorie diabetic plan a must.
